Kelis's Bio
Kelis was born August 21, 1979 in Harlen New York. She was named after her mother's (Eveliss) and father's (Kenneth) names combine. As a child Kelis played the piano, violin and saxaphone.
After she graduated from private school she formed a band with Neptunes, and landed a record deal. She is a Brit award winner, NME award winner, Q award winner and has been nominated for two Grammy Awards. Kelis has sold 7 million albums world wide.
Kelis is the former wife of muscian Nas. On July 22, 2009 Kelis gave birth to baby boy "Knight". Kelis is also a proffessional chef. She attend and graduated Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in 2008.
